GM Alex Baburin |
For a long time I have been a fan of GM Alexander Baburin's
fabulous daily chess newsletter Chess Today. For a modest
subscription fee you can get (delivered to your email inbox)
daily news from the chess world, annotated games, chess problems,
coverage of current events and some editorial content on the
critical issues facing today's chess players. Below is a statement
by GM Baburin about his newsletter, followed by downloads of
sample issues and databases. Check out these issues and see
for yourself. Then subscribe and support this outstanding chess
publication. Tell Alex that Franklin Campbell sent you.
Unlike so many OTB publications, Chess Today often covers
the correspondence chess scene with news, games and commentary.
Check out CT-1912 below for an example of the kind of coverage
that appears from time to time. One of the technical editors
of Chess Today is the well known cc personality Ralph
Marconi. In my opinion the chess player of today should subscribe
to at least these two superb publications ... the print magazine
New in Chess and the electronic chess newsletter Chess
Today.
